INNOVATION AND OPERATING MODEL
We are not just an insurance agency. We are a risk management consultancy built on three pillars: proprietary methodology, a specialised team and applied technology. This page explains how DYLSI operates day to day — and why that matters to you.
Why does it matter how an insurance agency operates?
The insurance sector in Spain is one of the least digitalised areas of financial services. Most agencies operate with manual processes, legacy systems and total dependence on the individual judgement of each manager. This has direct consequences for the client: slow responses, lack of traceability and inconsistent experiences.
At DYLSI we’ve decided to build a different agency. Without giving up on personal service — quite the opposite, enhancing it — we’ve designed an operating model based on consultative methodology, codified processes and artificial intelligence integration. The result is an agency that operates with the sophistication of a professional consultancy and the closeness of a local team.
The three operational pillars
PILLAR 01
METHOD
RiskMap Methodology
RiskMap is DYLSI’s proprietary consultative methodology for structured risk analysis. It combines four execution phases with five exposure areas, applicable to both individuals and businesses. In our agency, it replaces traditional product-led selling. Before proposing any insurance solution, we analyse the client’s full situation.
- 4 structured phases: Understand, Protect, Prioritise, Plan
- 5 risk areas covered in every analysis
- Standardised documentation per session
- Dedicated implementation specialist (Catalina Saffon, with a background in Law and Coaching)
- In progress: full digitalisation with AI for session capture and analysis
PILLAR 02
TECHNOLOGY
Artificial intelligence and operational integration
DYLSI integrates generative artificial intelligence as a cross-cutting layer in its daily operations: document production, product information analysis, internal training and bilingual client communication. Technology doesn’t replace the team — it amplifies it. Every hour AI frees up is one more hour the team dedicates to the client.
- Integration of generative AI models in internal operations
- Custom in-house tools for post-claim management, FAQ and process consultation
- Technology architecture supervised by a dedicated Fractional CTO (Andy López)
- In development: Proprietary automation platform and 100% online distribution channel.
PILLAR 03
PROCESSES AND TEAM
Role specialisation, processes by area
The DYLSI team is structured by functional specialisation, not by improvisation. Each role has defined responsibilities, service indicators and documented processes. This structure makes it possible to scale service quality without losing personal attention — the client always knows who to talk to and what for.
- Team of 7 professionals with specialised roles
- Internal system of standard operating procedures (SOPs) by functional area
- Clear operating areas: Sales, Administration, Claims, Health Benefits, RiskMap, Marketing
- Native Spanish/English bilingualism across most of the team
- Certified continuous training (College of Insurance Mediators of the Balearic Islands)
Capability for specialised environments
DYLSI is built to advise organisations where risk is complex and digital assets are critical.
Our operating architecture allows us to serve specialised business profiles competently: technology-based companies, startups, R&D projects and organisations that depend on their human and intellectual capital. Traditional coverage is rarely designed for these contexts. Our consultative approach is.
Cybersecurity and professional liability:
specific coverage for digital exposure, data breaches and technical liabilities.
Employee Benefits
health, life and flexible compensation programmes designed for talent retention in highly qualified sectors.
Insurance for startups and innovation environments:
protection plans adapted to early stages, directors and officers risks (D&O) and operational continuity.
Integral risk analysis:
application of RiskMap to complex business contexts, with specific sessions for management and risk committees.
R&D AND EVOLUTION
Under continuous development
DYLSI maintains an active technology innovation programme with three development lines currently underway:
Automation Hub — We are building our own intelligent automation platform. Its purpose: to automatically process, classify and manage the agency’s day-to-day communications and administrative tasks, using artificial intelligence so the team can spend more time with clients and less on repetitive work.
RiskMap Digitalization — Our consultative methodology is evolving into a fully digital format: AI-assisted capture, automatic session documentation and personalised deliverables for each client.
100% digital distribution channel — Development of a fully online insurance purchasing channel for standardised coverages, complementing our in-person consultative model with a fast, accessible route for those who prefer to manage their insurance independently.
